چکیده
Abstract The effects of site symmetric distortion induced by the phase transition on up‐conversion emission and thermal sensing performance Gd 2 (MoO 4 ) 3 :Yb 3+ /Er (GMO) crystals were elaborately studied minimizing interference from many factors. Monoclinic GMO showed a much stronger fluorescence intensity larger ratio under irradiation 980 nm laser in comparison to orthorhombic counterpart. These remarkable properties stemmed low symmetry with large monoclinic GMO. Moreover, property samples was assessed based technique, where exhibited higher maximum absolute sensitivity ( S = 0.0257 K −1 at 510 K) due distortion, which further explained Judd–Ofelt theory polarizability chemical bond volume model. Results opened an efficient avenue for achieving highly sensitive thermometry daily scenarios via finely tailoring local symmetry.

Investigation into the temperature dependence of isotropic- nematic phase transition of Gay- Berne liquid crystals
Density functional approach was used to study the isotropic- nematic (I-N) transition and calculate the values of freezing parameters of the Gay- Berne liquid crystal model. New direct and pair correlation functions of a molecular fluid with Gay- Berne pair potential were used. These new functions were used in density functional theory as input to calculate the isotropic- nematic transition den...
متن کاملEnhancement of two-photon emission in photonic crystals.
We report the influence of photonic stopgaps on two-photon excited emission from highly efficient nonlinear chromophores infiltrated into high-quality photonic crystals. We have observed a sharp decrease (filter effect) in emission within the frequency range and direction of the stopgap as well as sharp enhancement of the two-photon excited emission associated with the stopgap's edge. This effe...
متن کاملFaraday waves on nematic liquid crystals: effect of Marangoni flow and thermal phase transition.
The parametric instability in nematic liquid crystal layers has been studied using linear stability theory. Using material parameters of typical nematics, the neutral stability curve and dispersion relation of a system that presents critical subharmonic waves is obtained. The critical acceleration and wave number of the unstable stationary waves are discontinuous at the nematic-isotropic transi...

the main purpose of this research was to:1.develop a coking model for thermal cracking of naphtha.2.study coke inhibition methods using different coke inhibitors.developing a coking model in naphtha cracking reactors requires a suitable model of the thermal cracking reactor based on a reliable kinetic model.to obtain reliable results all these models shall be solved simultaneously.for this pu...
15 صفحه اولTransition Region Emission and Energy Input to Thermal Plasma During the Impulsive Phase of Solar Flares
The energy released in a solar flare is partitioned between thermal and nonthermal particle energy and lost to thermal conduction and radiation over a broad range of wavelengths. It is difficult to determine the conductive losses and the energy radiated at transition region temperatures during the impulsive phases of flares. We use UVCS measurements of O VI photons produced by 5 flares and subs...
